Honda Bulldog concept

Powered by a 400cc DOHC inline twin, the Bulldog rides on 15-inch wheels, has a low center of gravity, and an appealing chunky/sturdy stance. The 28-inch seat height is low enough to allow almost anyone to plant their feet firmly while stopped, which, the idea goes, should make the Bulldog attractive to both new or occasional riders.

The concept behind the design (Honda always dreams up great names for these) is “Lovable Touring Partner”—suitably powerful while easy and engaging to ride.

Small racks are installed above the headlamps and behind the seat, and there’s additional storage on either side of the fuel tank. While only a concept today, this one could find a receptive audience if it were to get the green light. Clearly, a lot of thought’s been put into it.

The Honda Bulldog concept motorcycle has dual storage compartments built into the sides of the tank, crash guards for the engine, and storage racks front and back to go along with its Ruckus-style headlights.

Honda debuted its Bulldog concept motorcycle at the 31st Osaka Motorcycle Show 2015 and will showcase it next week at the 42nd Tokyo Motorcycle Show.
The Honda Bulldog sports a curious design, from its dual Ruckus-style headlights to its 15-inch wide scrambler tires. The fork sports gaiters and a small, raised front fender. Both the lights and engine have tubular crash guards, and the rails above the lights would be perfect for a bedroll. There’s a small rack on the back as well. Even more curious are the storage areas on each side of the fuel tank. The camping-friendly Bulldog has a 28.7-inch seat height.

The seat height and Honda’s Bulldog press release hint at its intended target, stating: “The model was developed with the concept ‘Lovable Touring Partner,’ and was designed to go beyond the boundaries of conventional leisure motorcycles, to actively enjoy outdoor life. Its unique robust, yet charming styling undoubtedly brings smiles to the faces of not only riders, but people who don’t usually ride motorcycles.”

Honda will be showcasing the Bulldog at the 42nd Tokyo Motorcycle Show from Friday, March 27 to Sunday, March 29 at Tokyo Big Sight.

Engine Type: Liquid-cooled 4-stroke DOHC Inline Two-cylinder

Its not the uglest bike in the world but certainly not the prettiest, and it should go alright with a Honda DOHC twin. But with 15inch wheels and unknown ground clearance it certainly isn’t the bike for me.
I have some questions that i think the adventure rider would want to know… weight? Ground clearance? Tank size?
Unfortunitly it looks like a bike preterning to be lost of different things from cafe raser, to adventure dual sport, wish Honda would just make a good bike for each use instead of making several bike that try to suit several uses poorl. Come back Honda where did you go?
Not a bout to trade my 30 old honda in on this one…
