Honda has confirmed the Africa Twin Adventure Sport this morning, aimed at making a true ‘Go Anywhere’ version of the Africa Twin.
Updates from the standard model include a larger tank at 24.2 litres, up from 18.8 litres to give a range of over 500km. The throttle is controlled by a ride by wire system and tuning to the intake and exhaust systems gives a more responsive power delivery and a more ‘engaging’ engine noise when you wind it on. To keep the back end in control the traction control system now has 7 selectable levels along with Off.
Riders will find the riding position and ground clearance are both taller due to longer travel suspension along with an extended fairing and heated grips while the paint scheme pays tribute to the Original 650cc RD03 Africa Twin.
Kerb weight is 243kg for the manual version or 253kg with Honda’s automatic DCT
