Husqvarna has announced a new 701 model variation for the 2020 model year, the 701LR – Long range.
Essentially it’s a 701 with a factory big gas tank and all the required bits to make that work and look good. The 12 litre tank is located in the traditional tank position and adds to the existing 701 rear subframe tank for a total of 25 litres on board, which Husqvarna state will give riders around 500km range. Dual fuel pumps allow riders to choose which tank fuel is being taken from.
Along with the big tanked LR the 701 range including the Enduro and Supermoto all get new electronic riders aids including new switchable ride modes, Bosch cornering ABS system with lean angle sensors, and a new “easy shift” feature that Husqvarna claims shortens gear changes and improves rear wheel traction including while leaned over.
