As well as adventure motorcycles I also would love an expedition truck.
This is at the high end of the scale in terms of cost and quality of fitout
The MAN Kat 1 is at the heavy weight end of the scale.
The guy that owns this truck is actually a Kiwi. There’s been quite a few builds on the Mitsubishi Fuso/Canter 4×4 chassis, including the Earthcruiser which is designed to fit into a container so that it is easily shipped overseas.
Here’s a good writeup on a private Fuso build

You can even just bolt a caravan on the back of a truck
Any truck in here is also cool.

May 7, 2015 at 1:44 pm #8244So bad ass. Would love to fitout a mog. Lusted over some Tatras while I was in Europe but they are pretty massive.

August 5, 2015 at 1:51 pm #9442During my USA tour came back to the hotel to find this had joined us.
Apparently destined for Dakar as medical support it was never used. A multi-millionaire snapped it up, fitted it out like a boat (teak this, mahogany that) and now a guy was employed to move it and all the other toys (including motorbikes) around the place so his family could fly in, enjoy, fly out.
After this vacation I think it was off to South America… sheesh, some can dream…

Rank: 1200cc RiderThere was a massive MAN expedition truck/camper at Te Papa at lunchtime today, all set up for offroad use. Hugely tall. Just fit across 2 angle carparks (end on end). The back end was cut away at a 45 degree angle to allow a good exit angle. I assume 4wd. Unfortunately left my ph on my desk. I guess whoever owns it has some folding stuff & is travelling the world in it.
