I’d still like to get hold of a O2 sensor so I’ve been looking on Alibaba to see if anything likely can be found on there at a lower price.
Would something like this work with a display?
What say you @stephen-clark?March 22, 2016 at 10:38 pm #11830

Possibly. 02 sensors are pretty common. But then you would need to weld a bung into the exhaust, & also get something to interpret what the 02 sensor says.
I looked at the Innovate MX 02 sensor & gauge for $350 or so (was around $250 when I looked seriously at it). Phil Paton had one when he built up his DR.
I’m still keen to get one too – when I have actual income coming in…March 23, 2016 at 7:53 am #11831
There’s plenty of gauges available also at very cheap prices.
I wasn’t looking to permanently mount one. I saw a setup that had a steel arm where you could lower the sensor down the exhaust. For most bikes it should be fairly set and forget, except maybe for an airhead.
The last component as you say is a controller and that I suspect is the expensive bit. I haven’t had any luck finding something for that.March 23, 2016 at 8:26 pm #11844May 19, 2016 at 12:44 pm #12934September 9, 2016 at 8:18 am #13868

What is the cheapest complete setup for a bike?
I’m after one to tune the Katoom as its modified all over…..
Doesn’t need to be a permanent fixture, a fitting welded into the pipe for use then a bung fitted when not will do…
Just need to get the tune right throughout the rev range and the old plug chop method is a bit Heath Robinson for me….September 9, 2016 at 10:44 pm #13906
Thats what I was trying to figure out. Gauges are cheap and plentiful, The controller seems to be the biggest variable in cost.
