Looking for people to go dual sporting, camping and generally riding with in Jan.
I’m from NZ but currently in the UK. Keeping my off road riding skills up by filtering traffic in London.
Fit 35yr guy. Fairly experienced. Will probably buy an 800 dual sport or something around there.
Current ride is a Triumph Bonneville, but was previously riding a XT660X and numerous other things.December 10, 2018 at 8:49 pm #28405
I’m keen for that. I’m from London but been in Chch 10 years, currently got a Honda AT and a good light weight camping set up, fit, 40, plenty experience, (last bike was a KLR650, also had a couple of Royal Enfields, Hyosung GT, Suzuki GSX & V-Strom). Got a few friends here also into dual sport, adventure stuff, but their kids get in the way a lot these days. Anyway, I’m on 021 931 434, and yesjamesgreen on Instagram. Get in touch if you’ve a plan coming together. Cheers. JamesDecember 10, 2018 at 9:34 pm #28407
Great. I’ll get hold of you once I get in the country in about 10 days.September 15, 2019 at 8:47 pm #31447
Hey Dan, James here- we loosely discussed some adventure riding earlier this year. I think maybe you live in Dunedin? Im in Chch but riding a few trails from Ddn to Chch starting 28th Sept (roughly via Naseby, Danseys Pass, Hakataramea& Black Forest, Fairlie, Orari Gorge, over a couple of nights and with a pillion. Ive got an Africa twin+ light luggage. Might put the word out on Adventureridingnz see if anyone keen to join (with no locator beacon & minimal tools, thinking good idea to have a few buddies in case of a flat or something!) Let me know if you might be keen. Cheers.

@jamesgreennz I’m back in the UK now.
I managed to put 4000km on a Tiger in Summer, and one part of that was the ride through Naseby.
The 4wd tracks are a really good ride from St Bathans to Otematata, with a 6 or so river / stream crossings on the way. Nothing too hard.
Also the Black Forest Station ride between Otematata and Twizel was really good fun too, with some amazing views.
I’ll post up here when I’m back in the country again. Might not be for a while though.September 16, 2019 at 10:16 am #31463
Cool, sounds like you got good use out of the Tiger. Will look into those routes a bit more, cheers. Yep,get in touch here if you’re back in NZ and keen to head out there again.
