    Hi guys,
My son and I are coming over to NZ in February. We have hired two DR650s and are planning a trip around the lower half of the South Island. We would like to stay on dirt tracks as much as possible. We’ll have a small tent and minimal camping gear. We’ve only got 7 days. Has anyone got any advice for us re what route to take, where to stay etc.
I would love to hear from anyone who has experience in this region.
    Cheers,
    Paul dT

Here’s a ride-report from a South Island ride last year.
    Maps included.
Guess you’ll pick up/ return the bikes in Christchurch…
    start at page 7 then.

    Hi Paul
Did the whole south Island a few years back.
