    The smaller bikes mostly had knobblies fitted, the Strom’ss 80/20 or even more road biased tyres. How they went depended on the rider, most of them were more towards the back of the field taking it easy as it was pretty slippery in a few places but there were several Strom’s at the sharp end of the pack and doing fine.

    The stream banks were mostly pretty firm actually.
