Three day 2 nights Adventure Ride through some of New Zealands, if not the worlds best gravel roads and a few paper roads weather permitting.

    ACCOMODATION FOR THE GEEZERS RIDE
I must emphasise that this is an “all care, no responsibility ride” it is up to you to be self sufficient and book your own accommodation etc. I have been in contact with 2 places to stay and it would be nice for everyone to stay at the same place but you are welcome to find other accommodation. In Dargaville we will stay at the Dargaville Holiday Park and Motels, they have Family Cabins, Motels and Back packer accommodation. Contact them on info@dargavilleholiday.co.nz or 09 439 8296 and mention that you are on The Geezers Mid North Gravel Bash and they will group people together if needed to keep the cost down. In Paihia we will be at the BOI Holiday Park, contact them on 09 4027646, say that you are on The Geezers Mid North Gravel Bash and you will get a Cabin for $60 or a Tourist Flat for $70 the rate is for 2 people each extra adult will be $18. Also mention if you want to share.

    THE RIDE
Day 1. The ride will start from Whangarei on Saturday at 10am and head south to Paparoa to meet up with the people riding North at approx. 11 am. We will then head north on mainly gravel and weather dependent, some paper roads and some farm land. We will play it by ear and can shorten or extend the ride depending on how it flows and end up in Dargaville for the night.
Day 2. We will head north following the Wairua River through Trounsen park, There is a paper road to negotiate if the weather is good then going as far north as Kaikohe. We then head south east to take in Matawaia, Motatau, Towai, Ruapekapeka, Kawakawa and finish for the night in Paihia.
Day 3. We will go through thw Waikare Road the make our way down the East Coast with a couple of diversions for some of the best views in Northland. We should be back in Whangarei mid dayish so our visitors to the North can make there way south or some more back country roads for those who want it.
We will supply maps of the route at the start of the ride.
