SWM Adventure Motorsports in Canada have developed a KLR650 diesel conversion kit, replacing the stock engine with a diesel unit from Kubota.
To try and bring costs down they’ve created a GoFundMe.com fund raising page to be able to pre-purchase all the components in bulk. it’ll still cost you $10K US for the conversion though.

The Kubota D902 used is a vertical, water-cooled, 3-cylinder, 4-stroke diesel engine with a capacity of 20.4HP at 3600RPM.
Does the Kubota have a removable injector, many early Kubota has the injector/s cast in the head this was problematic as you couldn’t just remove them for servicing.
Always wanted a diesel bike but it will have to wait for now…
Whoops, that did’nt work.
