Castlepoint is a tiny seaside hamlet on the east coast of the North Island in the Wairarapa area. Popular on summer weekends, Castlepoint is very quiet the rest of the year.
Beach access is at the end of Jetty Road and runs along a sheltered bay. As long as the tide is out the beach is firm and smooth.
Castlepoint beach is popular with families and pets. While vehicle access is allowed on the beach, be considerate of other beach users and keep speed to a minimum.
