There aren’t a whole lot of gravel options in the upper central Waikato region and if you are a beginner at gravel riding or just want to avoid the main roads they are all worth a go. Uapoto Road Runs between Henry Road at the South end and Orini Road at it’s North end and is flat the whole way.
Watch out for the 2 sharp corners near the North end, they are almost 90 degrees and can’t be taken at any speed or you will end up in a ditch.
