The new models use a new 853cc motor and as with previous generations the 750 and 850 are the same motor, with the 750 being a de-tuned version of the same engine.
As with many other parallel twins BMW has now adopted a 270-degree firing order to give that V-twin sound, along with 2 balance shafts to smooth out the vibes and a new anti slip clutch for a lighter pull on the lever. The F750GS puts out 74.6hp and 83NM of torque weighs in at 204kg wet, the F850GS comes in at 93.8hp and 92NM of torque and 229kg wet.
Electronics wise the new models get fly by wire and new riding modes that alter traction control settings and the new electronic suspension as well as throttle response. A bigger 6.5″ dash display off the bigger bikes gives connectivity to your phone to take calls, play music or get directions.
Additional optional extra’s are also available for for emergency call, keyless ride, cruise control, tyre pressure sensors and Gear Shift Pro (a quickshifter and autoblipper).
The F750GS comes in two models (Standard and Exclusive) which are both very much road focused while the F850GS is a three model range that includes the Standard, Exclusive and Rallye model.
