A ridge top gravel road that is typical in northern Hawkes Bay. Climbing from SH2 just outside Wairoa as a 3-track gravel road through farmland and plantation forestry.
Facing East there are views over Wairoa coast to the Mahia Peninsula. The road gets narrower and travels through native forest as it climbs up to Putere Rd intersection, with the beautiful Putere lakes not far from the intersection.
