Another track near Motueka, Graham Valley Road runs off Motueka River West Bank Road. After about 2km’s Graham Valley Road ends in a T junction with Graham Valley North Branch Road heading off to the right and and Graham Valley South Branch Road off to the left.
Graham Valley South Branch is reasonably easy gravel though it has several steep sections. The steep sections do have concrete tracks to stop the road from degrading too much which offers a fairly firm surface, however we’ve given the track a Intermediate riding experience recommended rating for big bikes due to the steep descent coming back out again.
Graham Valley South Branch ends at a carpark which is a trailhead for several walking trails, there is a small doc office here with trail information. The walking trails are popular so Graham Valley South Branch can be quite busy with traffic.
Graham Valley North Branch is a little rougher and a lot less used, though traffic could still be encountered at any time. Graham Valley North Branch is quite narrow and windy with several blind corners and ends in a small clearing. Graham Valley North Branch gets a beginner rating for big and small bikes as while the track is a little rougher and narrower there are no steep or otherwise techincal sections.
