Homewood Road is near the east coast of the Wairarapa and starts at it’s southern end as Kaiwahata Road. Only the northern half of the route is actually Homewood Road. This is a well formed gravel road all the way through with good surfaces and varies from steep forested sections with lots of corners at the southern end to wide open straights at the northern end.

At the North end of Homewood road you can either choose to turn right and head to Riversdale for food, or left to head back to Masterton, There is no Fuel at Riversdale.
For an alternative route back to Masterton via gravel and sealed backroads take Fernglen Road on the left of Homewood Road just after the road turns to seal again.
Homewood Road can also be linked to Admiral Road just to the South for a longer ride and Castlepoint Beach runs off Homewood Road near the North end.
