The Leatham Valley track is a maintained 4wd track starting from the DOC sign at the end of Leatham Valley Road. The track itself is an easy ride up a river valley through open flats and Beech forest. The thing that makes this track harder are the three crossings of the Leatham river.
We went up when the Marlborough Council river flow data showed 4cumecs, this was fine for water depth but there are boulders in the crossings which can make it a bit difficult.
Overall it is a fairly senic ride which is sort of similar to the Rainbow Road but on a much smaller scale. There are three DOC huts on the track which are used by hunters and trampers, a good day ride from Blenheim.
