A great road with some epic tight curves and massive drops off at the top, but elsewhere fairly easy to ride and with great views over the Uruti Valley with another Taranaki tunnel on the way.

If thats the Moki Rd in Taranaki,… I rode it last year, awesome! Comes off the Forgotten World Highway just after Whangamomona , which in itself is one of the best motorcycling roads I’ve ridden. 🙂

Do you have some pictures or a little blurb describing Moki Road you could share @facebook-alan-brackenbury?

We only did the part from the end of Kiwi Road through to Uruti Road. Description is a great road with some epic tight curves and massive drops off at the top, but elsewhere fairly easy to ride and with great views over the Uruti Valley

Our pics attached.

When I rode this on Sunday it looked like they had been doing some work on the road – so it is in good condition. I did wonder while riding this though if cattle and sheep trucks would use it – thinking maybe they muster the livestock along the road and load on to trucks at the Uruti end?

Moki Road was a bit busier than usual yesterday with sheep movements and the gravel getting graded.

There were some good views of Mount Taranaki in the distance.
