Pohukura Rd is a gravel road above Tutira. It travels through farmland and native bush. Highlights are the limestone outcrops, fenced Kiwi Creche around Lake Opouhi, and Boundary Stream Scenic Reserve with various bush walks.
Boundary Stream is a reasonably popular walking area so there can be a bit of car traffic at peak times. The road is 3 track gravel from Tutira end to the top of Boundary Stream, then 2 track gravel to Waitara Road end.
Loop Pohukura Road with Waitara Road to bypass much of SH5 and SH2 if you are heading Taupo to Wairoa or vice versa.
Pohukura Road travels further North than the GPS track goes, however this is a dead end.

It would appear that whether you choose to download the ‘Pohukura Road Track’ or the ‘Waitara Road Track’ you only actually get the ‘Waitara Road Track’. I guess there may be a glitch or a file double-loaded?
