Te Oka Bay Road
Te Oka Bay Road runs off Bossu Road and gives a 10km run past Tumbledown Bay and into Te Oka Bay. Te Oka Bay Road is a good condition shingle road with great views out through Te Oka Bay, You can walk to the beach over the turnstile just a few meters from the road.
Parts of Te Oka Bay Road are quite steep with some tight corners.
Magnet Bay Road
Magnet Bay Road runs off Te Oka Bay Road and is generally a well maintained shingle road although there are steep drop-offs on one side into the valley.
Magnet Bay Road can become quite greasy if damp so riders should take care and beginner adventure riders should consider leaving this for another day if recent weather has been wet.
At the end of the Magnet Bay Road it’s just a short walk to the beach.

Magnet and Te Oka are cool surf spots. So on a good day there can be a quite a few cars on either side of low tide.
Nice!
Shot over this way last Sunday on my brand new DRZ400. Road is in very good condition and weather was perfect, just like in the photos above. Only one idiot cutting the corner on a blind bend coming towards me! Is there any reason the Bossu Road is not on here – looks like a good road to traverse along the hills?
