Western Valley Road connects Port Levy with Little River. From Port Levy the road climbs up to Port Levy Saddle through dense forest, the descent down to Little River is open, exposed and steep in places. The road then transitions to seal near the bottom (not long before the intersection with Montgomerys Road) and joins up with SH75 at Little River.
There are a lot of walking tracks around Western Valley Road so it is possible to meet walkers and their vehicles on the road. As usual exercise caution and courtesy to other road users.
