In 2017 Zongshen entered the Dakar rally on their new NC450 Rally bike.
Unfortunately none of the 5 NC450’s entered finished the 2017 Dakar but only 1 of those was due to mechanical issues and that was vapour lock rather than any major failure, the other 4 crashed out and were too damaged to be able to continue.
The 450cc single cylinder motor has since been used in the RX4 adventure bike.
