Llewellyn Sullivan-Pavey founded Brake Magazine, has finished a Dakar rally, and teaches off road skills in the UK, so is better qualified than most to discuss the finer points of bike selection for adventure riding.
I think Llewellyn makes some pretty good points in this, particularly the comment at 9’40”
What do you think?

Well actually, I think a lot of people buy into the hype of “needing” or perhaps wanting the big ADV bikes. Most entering the fray would do much better starting on a smaller bike to gain skills and confidence on gravel and off road. So yes in sometimes I do “think(s) you’re on the wrong adventure bike” 😛
