Lighthouse Road starts in Akaroa as a steep sealed road and turns into a good condition gravel road about half way through.
Lighthouse Road gives great views over the entire Akaroa Harbour and out to sea at the harbour entrance and makes a nice learner friendly half day ride from Christchurch.
There is one gate to open and close near the end of the road.
