I have – made longer KTM pegs, very similar to your photo. I bought a cheap second hand pair, then just cut off the tip and welded it = just like the pic. Easy job, even for my (bad) welding. Will try to dig out a photo…
A mate of mine made his own “tip extenders” with mild steel and then bolted them in place, but they were never as strong, and the steel was too mild and slowly bent.
