Auckland Dyno Day – Saturday March 25th 2017 $40 each run!

Want to see what what numbers you bike makes? Made some mods to your bike and want to see if it’s running at it’s optimum? Come along to our Auckland Dyno Day and find out.

The Dyno day will be held at BRM Motorcycles, located at 12F Kaka street, Otahuhu, starting at 10am. There will be 3 dyno runs per hour and each dyno run will cost $40 payable on the day directly to BRM, so if you have a baseline run then make some adjustments while other bikes are being done and then do a 2nd run, that’s $80.

Road orientated rear tyres are highly recommended as knobblies slip on the roller and don’t give accurate HP readings. Jetting improvements can still be made however as this doesn’t affect AFR reading.

Let us know if you are in by posting below. We’ll have about 18-20 dyno runs in total and I’ll be doing 2 of those so space is limited.

, get that KLR ready! It would be interesting to see what the BMW does also with that exhaust.

Well called, yes but it would mean trailering, I would like to see the KLR now, and then after with Jet kit, could do that latter but I think you need to do on same day to get comparative readings ?

My dirt bike mates are trying to get me to the tussock busters on same weekend, this might be just the excuse I need to save all the physical exertion 🙂

If we can get 10 Dyno runs confirmed then it will be $40 per run, that’s a bargain!

, If you can change the jetting while other people are doing their runs then you could do before and after, thats actually what I intend on doing as I know my bike isn’t right. They can supply jets etc there too.

I will take at least two of those and may give them a call regarding Jets (should mod my airbox during the day as well)

We have time for about 20 dyno runs, maybe a couple more depending on how the day flows.

I’ll need 2, maybe 3
will need 2, maybe 3, are you only bringing the KLR Mark?

yep, but I’ve got a big gnarly off road tyre mounted at the moment (Motoz)… and that was sooooo hard to get on there’s no way I’m taking it off until it’s bald…

Great day today, lots of laughs and fun was had and I think everyone who put their bike on the dyno learnt something.

THE ADVNZ DR650 on the dyno

Making jetting changes to the ADVNZ DR650 and @mark-claasen’s KLR650.

In the dyno room.

My self tuned DR was running very rich. After dyno tuning peak HP went from 38 to 41HP with significantly smaller main and idle jets so my fuel economy should be much improved.

Hope you all had a great day. I was very disappointed I couldn’t make it.
Some good improvements made Ed a win win extended range and more power.
Wow Motus BMW sounds mean… And it just kept winding what is the red line on it?
