DR 250 XC Djebel clutch lever wanted

I need one of these brake levers, it’s off our DR 250 XC Djebel and the WOF man won’t give it a new WOF as the knob has broken off.

This isn’t the same as the DRZ250/DRZ400/KLX400 clutch lever and doesn’t seem to be specifically listed in Suzuki’s parts list. If anyone knows what it might be the same as please let me know.

This is a DRZ250/DRZ400/KLX400 clutch lever, very similiar but it doesn’t work.

When do you need it by?

I have some at work that look the same or could find something for you.

Bugger such a hassle when they won’t give wof due to no knob it’s safe as bro

The knob is actually a WOF requirement, the idea being that in an accident someone could possibly be impaled on the broken end, but with hand guards fitted yeah it’s pretty safe.

It’s pretty unsafe IMO. A ball of knead it may be a quicker cheaper fix?

make one out of Kneed It and paint it silver or satin black.

Just buy aftermarket. Anything you want banggood.com free shipping, and no worries cheap as chips.

Maybe if you could get one from another bike with simialr dimensions and get the hole and bit where it conects to the handle bar drilled and milled to fit untill you can get a new one as any drilling or milling of another lever could weaken it maybe.

I’m not looking for original, I’m looking for one that will fit, and banggood doesn’t have them.

I too have had great success using Knead It on the ends of dirt bike levers, really easy to mould it to shape & hard as steel once cured, it can be smoothed out easily if you wet your fingers first.

Yep, some metal putty should do the trick…

Isn’t that lever tucked in behind a gaint handguard on those bikes? Haven’t had a ball on the end of my clutch lever on the Transalp in years, cut it off and filed it nicely to give better clearance from the backbone of the barkbuster, never been an issue, always use VINZ and VTNZ for my bike WOFs.

On kiwibiker years ago there were several people saying to make a kneadit, newtech or similar epoxy knob then sand and paint, Mr W.O.F. inspector won’t know any better… but for the time and effort a $30 ebay one is probably easier
