Nice little 2-week loop on the S. Island connecting as many dirt routes as possible.
Approx itinerary:
- 7 FEB Day 01 – Home to Wellington
- 8 FEB Day 02 – Ferry to Picton, Picto to Blenheim (30 min)
- Blenheim to Hamner Springs via MOLESWORTH (140km or 4 hours)
- 9 FEB Day 03 – Hamner Springs to Culverdern to Cheviot to Christchurch
- 10 FEB Day 04 – Christchurch to Lee’s Valley Track to Christchurch
- 11 FEB Day 05 – Christchurch to Lyndon Road to Double Hill Road (potential for a long day here)
- 12 FEB Day 06 – DHR to Lake Tekapo to Lake Tasman
- 13 FEB Day 07 – Tasman Lake to Hakataramea (via Haka road)
- Up and down Black Forest Station
- Down to St. Bathons via E. Manuharekia
- 14 FEB Day 08 – St. Bathons to Hawksburn Road (DESERT) – to Garston to The Key
- 15 FEB Day 09 – The Key to Queenstown via Mavora Lakes FERRY!
- 16 FEB Day 10 – Queenstown up Skipper’s Canyon to Branches Station to Wanaka (BS to Wanaka is 3 hrs)
- 17 FEB Day 11 – Wanaka to Mount Aspiring and back towards Haast Glacier (Hwy 6)
- 18 FEB Day 12 – Hwy 6 to Greymouth to Napoleon Hill to Reefton
- 19 FEB Day 13 – Reefton to Hamner Springs up the Rainbow Road towards Picton
- 20 FEB Day 14 – Picton to Wellington
- 21 FEB Day 15 – Wellington to home
- OPTIONAL DAYS:
- Nelson to Hori Bay
- Nelson to Titirangi (full day out and back)

At Cyclespot in North Auckland getting a new rear for the trip. Fitting on a Motoz GPS. I wanted the dual venture for the front, but the shipping company screwed me, so I’ll roll with the parelli STR. It’s only got about 3k km on it, so it should be good. I guess we’ll see. I might get something in Christchurch….

Molesworth, St. Leonard’s to Chaviot, and Lee’s Valley completed so far on this trip. Tomorrow…off to Lake Coleridge and then to the hut at the end.

Lake Takepo to Lake Pukaki and Hakataramea Pass completed today.
Clyde to Bannockburn, then back and onto the Nevis completed (absolutely Epic!!!)
