A number of new agencies have announced that The Honda Africa Twin will become as 1100 for 2020.
Most of the reason is to allow the engine to comply with incoming Euro 5 emission regulations without producing less power. It’s also being mentioned that the new model will have a 20 litre tank, up from 18, a new improved dash featuring a full tfft screen, and the DCT system will be updated/improved.
There’s no official word from Honda yet however.

Honda have released a 33 second ‘True Adventure’ video which is believed to be the first teaser for the Africa Twin 1100, but there’s actually no motorcycle shown in it.

A number of other changes are incorporated to the headlights, fairing, and tail section shape.
More is expected to be revealed at one of the various international motor shows over the next 2 months where the next years models get announced.
So Honda has confirmed that the new Africa Twin 1100 will be out late 2019, though it’s not known yet whether they will be in NZ this year.
