Unfortunately this isn’t a factory model, which is a shame because I think Moto Guzzi would sell a ton of them if it was.
Filippo Barbacane runs his own workshop Officine Rossopuro, and through that built this beauty for his own use by mix and matching factory Moto Guzzi chassis and engine components with his own custom bodywork and parts.
The frame is from a Moto Guzzi Stelvio 1200 though the factory rear frame has been removed and replaced with a custom unit. Filippo didn’t like the Stelvio engine though due to its weight, mechanical complexity and the heat it produces so instead chose to use the 90Hp/91Nm 2 valve per cylinder 1100cc from the Moto Guzzi Breva.
Tank capacity isn’t given but is supposed to be quite large for adventure touring, and is hidden underneath replaceable carbon panels which also provide some space for basic tool storage. The wheels are typical of large adv touring machines with 19″ front and a 17″ inch rear.
While the Stelvio which donated the chassis originally weighed 272kg and the Breva which donated the engine weighed in around 240kg (235kg dry), Filippos GranSasso tips the scales at 198kg wet.
The GranSasso’s fit and finish is as good as anything out of a big. factory.
