Have you got one? What do you use and can you recommend it.
I know @stephen-clark is considering a set for his sidecar passengers and I’ve considered a set for Jennifer and I and/or our daughter if I have her on the back.
@phil_johnston has one he bought off AliExpress which he reckons is pretty good. He can also listen to the radio and recieve calls from his phone on it and I can think up to 4 riders can talk to each other with it.
New models can connect up to 6 riders.

Scala is probably the biggest player in Motorcycle Intercoms, and their quality of products, and their prices reflect that.

I bought a set of Sena SMH10 headsets for our south island trip, they worked perfectly, and added greatly to the trip, with the three of us able to chat clearly up to 1km apart (line of sight).
Just looked those up, price is still in the ‘ouch’ territory but then Sena is the other big player.
‘+1 on the SENA SMH10
I have a single one now, and not a lot of use but it’s easy and user friendly. The big jog dial is great for gloves too. They pair up with anything, and have very good range. It was another 2nd hand purchase for my upcoming trip and future trips. For 65USD it was a great buy when they are new around 130USD.
The other unit I was very interested in was the UCLEAR 200, which has boomless technology. That is ideal as the booms can get in the way and are prone to breaking on all mic’ed units. The UCLEAR 200 has military technology and the mic is in the bottom of the right earpiece. Not cheap by any means, and I was keen to try one, but the known reliability of the SMH10 and the price swayed me there.
If anyone uses the UCLEAR 200 set, I’m interested to hear about how it is and how the boomless mic works or doesn’t.
I have looked at Sena, Scala Cardo, and interphone. Interphone is slightly cheaper than than the others two, of these 3 major players.
There are many Chinese brands that are only a third of the price of the big brands. I personally can’t afford $600 for one 3 big brands but really want one, especially if I ever have friends to ride with that also have them. I like the look of this one but am uunsure if it will pair the major brands. http://vi.raptor.ebaydesc.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemDescV4&item=222348367758&category=14953&pm=1&ds=0&t=1490170407565
All those cheaper devices are a big unknown, and if you can get them to pair, there can usually only be one of those in a group of another brand.
Other problem is things like auto-reconnect if they drop out of range. The cheaper units often won’t. I’ve used Sena for years now, not cheap, but they do work well. The older 10s can support 4 way, 20s support 8 way intercom and the coming 30 range apparently 16 way.
