New tiny GoPro 'Session' camera

Check out the latest camera from GoPro!

Smallest, lightest GoPro yet.

50% smaller and 40% lighter than other HERO4 cameras,1 HERO4 Session is the most wearable and mountable GoPro ever. With a sleek, versatile design, it’s at home anywhere—from the surf to the snow, to hanging with friends.

Mount upside down, capture right-side up.

When the camera is mounted upside down, Auto Image Rotation automatically adjusts the capture orientation to right-side up so there’s no need to flip your footage in post-production.

Built-in battery.

The battery is built directly into the camera and offers up to two hours of recording time on a full charge.3 The included USB cable allows for charging the camera with your computer or the GoPro Auto or Wall Charger.

Dual mic system.

HERO4 Session features two microphones: one on the front of the camera and one on the back. When you’re filming in windy conditions or during high-speed activities like motorsports, the camera automatically switches to the mic that’s best-suited for capturing optimal audio. The result? Reduced wind noise and enhanced audio capture—no matter what the conditions or activity.

Durable + waterproof.

HERO4 Session is rugged and waterproof to 33’ (10m), eliminating the need for a separate housing. Its convenient, ready-to-go design makes it easy to get out the door quickly to capture and enjoy your session.

How many of us have cameras? I’m thinking of getting a camera that would go on the helmet, to point where I’m looking, for sharing footage at times, to check my technique and to create scenery shots for rides. Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks, wondering at the balance of recording my experience and experiencing it. Go pro is quite expensive.

I bought an Eken H9R for $57 including shipping, it’s no GoPro Hero 7 Black, but it is pretty decent for the money.

Just done a trade me thing, bought a second hand gopro black 4. Maybe I’m a sucker. I like
recording my trip but not sure editing is my favourite thing. we’ll see. NZ could do with
a motorcycle channel of it’s own. If I get into videoing my trips, I’ll start with nooks
and crannys of the wairarapa. Lots of over night camps. I’ll start with mount dick – not mt bruce.
Just south of Carterton.

I’ve a session 4 and it only works when it feels like it. My old GoPro 3 and Garmin Virb are far better. Particularly like the virb with it’s GPS. Garmin virb software is also pretty nifty (for adding the GPS data) but only really basic video editing features – it is free though.
