While the front suspension performance of my R100GS is pretty average, it’s better than expected compared to the R100GS I owned a few years ago. This lead me to suspect some work had been done to it.
Tonight I pulled the springs and sure enough they aren’t the factory ones. These springs are marked with WP94 and are progressive springs. Based on the rear shock being a Works Performance one I’m guessing the WP on these springs is also Works Performance, the 94 could be a reference to spring rate somehow.

The bike still has a fair amount of dive so I added 8mm of preload using some washers I had lying around, and added 20mm of fork oil to each side. We’ll see what this does.
BMW airhead forks are odd as 1 fork only does damping and the other fork only does rebound.
