Riding ADV in the USA & Canada

So I’m heading to the states & Canada this year again, but to ride the CDR (Continental Divide Ride) and likely Baja as well. For those that do not know, the CDR is the less talked about yet better ADV ride in the USA, that technically starts in Mexico and finishes in Canada. Of course you don’t need to ride the entire length, and I will be starting in New Mexico heading to Banff, Canada. Some of our members have ridden this before, many have not. If anyone is interested for this year in July, just let me know. I plan on riding 1month from Los Angeles to the CDR and then back via the Pacific Coast Hwy 101. I know some of the areas well, I have gpx files, and one other Scottish rider coming as well. He’s riding a Honda 650, and I am still hunting for a bike (likely a Husqvarna TR650 Terra). The offroad part of this ride will be roughly 14-17days, and the rest is sight-seeing tarmac and mixed gravel.

The Utah BDR would be epic. I’ll be spending some time there too. Baja is a dream but my timing is terrible being available to ride there in mid-august. So I’m reluctantly postponing that ride until I return next year to ride south to Ushuaia!
