Here are some questions I’d like to get answered
How much did it cost for shipping?
Is it cheaper to buy a bike there or to ship your bike over and back?
Renting a bike for Adventure Riding seems to be out of the question as most hire companies that I have seen forbid rental bikes being taken off sealed roads, which is pointless for us.
What time of year is best to go to do things like Camerons corner, Strez track etc.
Would something like a DL650/1000 Vee Strom be suitable for the dirt roads like out to Camerons Corner, Strez track etc?
What advice do you have?

Had good experience renting a bike for a month over there last november through http://www.bikeroundoz.com, they’ll let you take an adventure ready DR650 off road, but nothing else! You can even hire all the camping gear for pretty reasonable price as well. Very helpful guy’s and much easier than mucking round with shipping. Try Taurus Logistics for some competitive quotes if you want to go that way though, just make sure your bikes super clean to avoid delay’s once you get to Oz.
