I really like this, It’s a Suzuki GSX550 that was built for the Scrapheap challenge rally in Australia.
[s]Trannyboy[/s] @NordieBoy has a GSX400 with most of the DR bits to make something like this for sale in Nelson if anyone is interested. If timing wasn’t so bad for me I’d have been very tempted.
A Moto Guzzi Griso, turn up the volume for this one.

This is what a Griso looks like stock.
This gets an honorary mention as it’s not a road bike but a Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa road bike motor stuffed into an MX frame.
How about a Honda Four, An Africa Twin mated to a 145Hp 4 cylinder CB1000R.

The FZwhy250 was another Aussie Scrapheap challenge build.
These two aren’t road bike conversions but trail bikes with road engines fitted.
Supposedly They were made by Honda and the CR900 could tear the rim off the spokes in 3rd gear.
This is freaking mega cool. Who knew a Virago cruiser could look this good?
This is what it would have looked like originally.
Tuner/Customiser BRIVEMO in Switzerland have taken the concept of the Africa Twin and married it to a 145HP CB1000R motor to create what they have called the CRF1000R Africa Four.
Front forks are from a Honda CRF450R with most of the rest of the modifications being one off custom parts by Brivemo.
Brivemo run the annual Brivemo Africa Twin Raid in Tunisia.
This one is in New Zealand, a Yamaha FZ750 4 cylinder motor mounted in a XTZ750 Super Tenere frame, and apparently with 50 litres of fuel capacity.

This build is notable for quite a few reasons, the camping pod might be the most obvious one but also the very extended swingarm and the off road front end held by some massive looking custom fork clamps, all of a foundation of a late 80’s Kawasaki ZX-10.
This guy is using a car tyre with home made chains on a Hayabusa.
Here’s a guy racing a Suzuki Gixxer 250 in dirt races.
