Hi, My brother is looking at a Triumph Scrambler 2011.
It has has several nice modifications like arrow pipes,
end mirrors and has only done 30,000 kms any thoughts on
this bike?

I’ve no personal experience but I’ve heard the suspension is a bit lacking and some find the seat a bit uncomfortable. Nice looking bikes though.
Thanks I’ll let him know,
From you tube it seems there are quite some differences
between scramblers, this led me to look at some triumph reviews.
This one’s very funny… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOY2iTf2GQ8
Like the twisties joke. Waiting to ride my brother’s new baby.
Not sure it will take off my dr650 though.
Now looking at getting a Triumph Scrambler myself. Won’t be for awhile. My brother and I did a 1000 + kilometer ride from wellington to Tauranga (Mt Maunganui.) The DR650 was great and my longest time in the saddle was 9hrs. Ouch!
We took 3 or 4 small breaks for gas at no more than 15 miniutes or maybe twenty. The question is why so much longer on a bike? My brother calls me a slow 100kph rider and himself as a fast 100kph rider. He also added that it averaged out fine. I could probably do the same distance in a car for less time.
It always seems to take longer on a bike. Any Ideas why?
