2021 new Honda Grom, new motor, frame, and Adventure and Scrambler kits

Honda has just announced new updates for the 2021 Grom, and there’s quite a lot of them.

Start off with a new frame carrying a new motor with 5 speed gearbox, new LED headlight, new electronic dash with rev counter and gear indicator, new seat and a new quick release side panel design that allows the side panels to be easily removed to be customised or replaced if you damage them doing something stupid on your Grom.

Honda haven’t announced any performance figures yet but according to a graph they shared showing the new Grom against the original MSX125 it has a bit more HP at the top end and more torque right across the rev range. The original Grom MSX125 made 9.7 HP & 10.9 NM of torque.

Reflecting 3 of the common styles and uses existing Grom owners have modded their bikes into there will 3 ‘Mod it Youself’ (MIY) kits available to turn your 2021 Honda Grom into a ‘Motard Monster’, ‘Scrambler Rumbler’, or ‘Adventure Master’.

Honda also announced a HRC race only Grom specifically for a Grom race series in Japan.
