These things take time to get going properly and will always vary on how many turn up from time to time
When you do one take some pics and share them afterwards so people can see whats going on and be inspired to go too.
When I was living in Wellington and doing ADV beer and dvd nights I’d get anywhere from 3 to a dozen turn up.
