Members of a motorbike gang caused anger after they turned up late to am Anzac Day dawn service at Waiouru, then roared off during the Last Post.
Andi Brotherston described the incident as “perhaps the most disrespectful moment in the history of Anzac Day,” on Twitter.
“People here are so angry,” she said on Saturday.
Pictures taken at the Waiouru dawn service showed members of the Rebel motorcyle gang present.
The small central North Island township is home to huge military training area.
There were also gang members at the Auckland dawn service, however they were well behaved.
