While video of remote motorcycle trips is now quite common, back in 1983 recording video was usually only the domain of tv stations or well funded commercial expeditions. Due to cost, size, and availability of equipment it was well out of the realms of the individual.
Even today the Canning Stock route is one of Australia’s toughest trails due to it’s remoteness and environment. Thats makes this footage even more unusual.
