DRZ400e Tank, Seat lowering links WTB, and info

Hi looking to see if anything is out there in the way of 2nd hand larger fuel tanks, lowering links and aftermarket seats. Also looking for peoples experience with the aftermarket seat, whether they made a difference etc. There seem to be several brands of seat on the market. Cheers, Dan.

Well bit the bullet on a Seat Concepts kit. Time will tell if it was worth the money, but being wider it must be at least better than stock. Got the low seat so 1″ lower so don’t think I’ll need to install lowering links now. Installing the foam and cover to the stock pan wasn’t as hard as i thought it was going to be. Although unless you have an air stapler getting a separate set of hands to hold cover tight while you press stapler down hard will help.

It’s certainly a different shape and looks like it will have lowered the seat height a little for you.

This is certainly a late reply, but I had my OEM seat modified by a local auto trimmer, Brendan Marshall at Rangiora upholstery, and for $300 he transformed my DRZ400e seat into a seat as good if not better than a seat concepts seat. He made it the same shape and width but obviously the foam is a different type and density, but I can now ride for an hour on the road before I need to get off to rest my backside.
