The Hazard

Certain batches of hand brake master cylinders have defective machining. This can lead to early wear of the sealing cup in the hand brake cylinder, thus leading to impaired braking performance.

The hand brake cylinder must be checked and the affected batches replaced by our authorised dealers.

What to do

The vehicle should be inspected by an authorised KTM dealer without delay. Please contact an authorised KTM dealer to arrange a booking and inspection.

Should the Handbrake master cylinder batch number show as affected it will be replaced with new quality assured replacement parts FOC. Customers will be sent a recall notification letter specific to the information and the urgent requirement to have our authorised dealer check the vehicle.
