Looks great, guys. firstly I would like to thank all involved with the hard Work and effort gone into organizing this event, Thank you so much.
Now I have to be honest with myself there is very little to no chance that I will be healed enough to attend this event, sadly.
But my first consideration was while I see that the fuel stations are marked on the maps is there anyway of knowing ruffly the mileage between each. I am under no illusion that I wouldn’t need to bring axillary fuel if I was able to attend, but calculating how much would be a necessity.
Once again I thank the guys who have and are working on making this great event.
Cheers Hadrian

Hi,
Good question.
The fuel stations we put on the map are at the end of each stage.
The ride starts from a Z petrol station.
Near the end of stage1 and start of stage2 is a GAS petrol station. The distance you need to cover for stage1 is ~182 km.
The other stages were planned on the same way. The distances are indicated next to the GPX track download links.
We assumed, covering 200-250 km should not be a problem with one full tank of petrol.
If your fuel range is below this, you either need to carry some extra juice or look for petrol stations along the way before hitting the road.

Thanks for the reply and further information… I am sure if I am Valenti make I may not be the only enduros basses bike needing to either carry more go juice or find more frequent Fuel stops. The links you have provided and the other help files km this site plus Google Maps should make estimating refueling stops easy.
I would also like to correct a typo in my initial question “wouldn’t need to carry” should we would, thanks auto correct.
Thanks Hadrian.

Please, if you plan to attend the event hit the Book event button at the top of the page.
We would like to have an idea on how many riders are planning to go.

Hi Andrew and Joao,

Have been having a closer look at this and its truly an epic route. I’m definitely going to ride it although cant make that weekend.

If and when you have a debrief, I would be really keen to hear what parts of that would be best to use for our back country route. Its a shame to miss any of it out.

Cheers

Mark any chance to bump this on Facebook so we remind riders that the ride is coming up on the next weekend?
Thanks

Hi everyone,
We did talk about to have a bite and a (soft)drink at the end of the rally when we got back to Auckland.
Today I did talk to to the people at The Riverhead and they are OK if we will congregate there.

Everyone will arrive back to Riverhead about 4pm on Monday. If you still have the energy and time, we will end the ride at The Riverhead – Portage Bar.
If you cannot make it to even to the “One Day Ride”, you are welcome to join us at the Portage Bar after 4pm and celebrate adventure riding, comradery and life together. Oh, and most importantly, we can make big plans for the next multi day ride!
