I have the kreiga os with either the 18 or six litre bags on my drz. they work well.

I also use the kregia 18 litre bags, I use the kregia base system on my DR650 and rate it highly

Any issues with rubbing on the plastics? am a bit lost on whether 12l {to small ?} or 18l to big} also.

Cheers

I run the Kreiga system. There will be inevitably be some abrasion of the plastics,  although this is minimalised with the design being a base harness and has anchors at the bottom over a simple throw over bag. Also where you ride will have an effect. Sand & dirt vs gravel & tar. At the end of the day it’s a Drz and plastics are cheap. As for 12l vs 18l, I run the 12l on the drz and do 7+ day tours with them. However this is also with a 30l roll bag attached on top too for tent, sleeping bag, cooker etc.

Yep, scuffed plastics, no worries for me. 12 litres may well be plenty. My only real gripe regarding Kreiga is the way they sinch down on themselves. To get them nice and snug, the fuller the bag the better.

Also you will want a heat shield. I use the Acerbis silicone muffler protector and have doubled up the heat protection on the plastic itself. Maybe unnecessary but I have had zero issues over many bumpy kms.
