While the Kawasaki Versys-X 300 is still a relatively new model there are already strong rumours that a 400cc version is likely to be released in the next 2 years or so.
The current small bore Kawasaki Ninja sports bike uses the same 300cc motor as the Versys-X 300 and a Ninja 400cc sports bike has already been announced, so it makes sense a Versys-X 400 will also follow at some stage.
While the current 300 Versys-X/Ninja uses a bored out version of the venerable EX/GPX/GPZ/Ninja 250 engine first released in 1986 it is said the new 400c motor is completely new.
Kawasaki has announced the Kawasaki Ninja 400 as producing 45hp @ 10,000rpm and 38NM of torque @ 8000rpm, with a curb weight of 168kg.
After 14000k on my 300x versys I say 400 cc, better brake and suspension, I’m getting one….
