SHOEI has released the Hornet ADV, a new helmet in the firm’s 2015 line-up.
The ADV-style lid comes in sizes XS-XXL and has a removable/washable inner liner and cheek pads. The cheek pads also use Shoei’s Emergency Quick-Release System (EQRS), a safety feature designed to facilitate helmet removal after an accident.
Ear pads are fitted to the helmet for reduced noise and the Hornet ADV comes ready to install an intercom system.
There are four air inlets at the front for ventilation and seven outlets at the back of the helmet, just above the spoiler which Shoei says improves aerodynamics.
The helmet is available in black or white for £369.99, in matte black for £379.99, or in three different multicoloured options for £449.99.
Shoei is yet to release the weight of the helmet or a SHARP safety rating.

A nice helemt, very reasonable price, so could afford two, one as a spare…
Approximately $720 NZD landed from fc-moto.
Duty to be paid and associated costs, this is a seriously expensive helmet…
Getting up there and the Arai Tour X4 is a comparable priced helmet in this case.
