The motor seems unchanged, at least in capacity, at 1037cc with 106HP but from there things get very different from the DL1000 V-Strom.
The new model XT and XT Adventure variations are Fuel injected with a Ride-By-Wire throttle and CAN based wiring harness.
The Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) includes Cruise Control, Motion Track Antilock & Combined Brakes with a Hill Control assist system to hill starts, and a Slope Dependent Control System helps stop rear wheel lift when riding downhill.
The brake system also includes a Load Dependent Control System that monitors and retains braking force information to optimize braking force when riding with a passenger or heavy cargo.
The V-Strom XT styling has been reworked with a redesigned fairing and screen, handguards, mirrors, and 20 litre tank. A 2 height adjustable seat, crash bars, and centre stand are all standard fitment also. Wheels remain 19″ up front and 17″ at the rear.
The yellow colour scheme takes homage of the Suzuki DRZ rallye bikes while the red harks back to the DR BIG.
The V-Strom 1050XT now also gets upside-down forks, LED lights all round.
There are 2 variations of the 1050 V-Strom XT, the Adventure variation also includes aluminium panniers and heated grips.
